Context
Broadridge (formerly Itiviti, and before that Ullink) is a fintech (Financial Technology) company that provides a product which facilites dialogue (in a technical/digital sense) between investors and exchanges. Its main product is called the “bridge”, a communication platform sold to brokers. I was in charge of managing a series of highly technical “plugins” for the bridge that served to translate incoming and outgoing messages from external third party protocols to our own internal, standardised protocol and vice-versa.
Plugins Product Ownership
- SCRUM product owner (PO) role on a vital piece of the sold software.
- External requirements gathering from client support teams and clients.
- Negociation and exchanges with clients and client support teams to establish task priority
- Organisation of refinement meetings to obtain independent user stories
- Organisation of Sprint Plannings to set the upcoming backlog of tasks to accomplish
- Organisation of Sprint Reviews (including live demos)
- Maintenance of team cohesion
- Writing specifications via “epic” stories
- Extended knowledge sharing via presentations, documentation, et specialised tools
- UI/UX Design for a new functionality of the tool, including mockups
- Managed time critical projects (for example linked to upcoming legislation / compliance)
- Active participation in the QA phase
- Long term raodmap (vision) creation for my products
Internal Software Product Ownership

- Multiple pieces of software were managed, mainly tools used by other internal teams.

- Delivered a slack bot that accomplished multiple functions such as querying information on jira tickets, information about financial protocols, and a who’s who database of the company.
